My husband and I began our search for a dog in April, but due to COVID19 many shelters in the Bay Area had an overflow of applicants and adopters that it was hard to even get any word back for the countless applications we filled out. We found Life of Hope Foundation and saw so many dogs that were perfect! Each dog on their site has a little info and story about them and videos so you can get to know a litte more about them. We applied for several dogs on their website that caught our eyes and Ivy and Anita got back to us rather quickly. We emailed back and forth to find the right fit and found Luna to be our match! Finding Luna a flight to SFO took a little time due to COVID19 restrictions, but Ivy and Anita sent pictures, videos, and updates while we waited which made the process and wait so much easier for us. Luna came to us in the beginning and August and was very shy when she got to us (we knew this beforehand). In just a matter of weeks to a month now, she has become more brave and confident. She loves going on walks, hanging out on the couch with mom and dad, and playing with literally anything that squeaks. She’s learned a couple tricks such as sit, down, and plays fetch indoors very well. Though she is still a little shy when it comes to meeting new furfriends and pepole, she has made huge strides. She continues to make us proud dog owners. My husband and I are so in love with her and her little quirks. We are so happy to have her in our lives. Thank you Ivy and Anita and Life of Hope Foundation.
