Janet, now Kikko

Marian and I have been wanting to adopt a dog for a long time, but the circumstances were never quite right. When we both started working from home due to the quarantine, we thought there would be no better opportunity. We initially applied with several other agencies, but never heard back – until we found Life of Hope Foundation! We fell in love with Kikko (Janet) from the moment we saw her and applied immediately. Unlike the other agencies, Ivy and Anita replied within just hours of us submitting our application. We appreciated how upfront they were in informing us that Kikko was a very nervous dog, and that adopting her would require a lot of patience. They were always extremely responsive, and walked us through the entire adoption process. They even put us in touch with the foster family, who provided weekly, if not daily, updates and pictures of Kikko doing all sorts of fun activities. Though we had to wait until we could secure a volunteer to bring her over from Taiwan, the pictures, videos, and updates from the foster family made it feel like we were already getting to know her!We have now had Kikko for little over a month and she has made so much progress. She went from an extremely shy, nervous dog who refused to leave her crate, to one that can barely control her excitement when it’s time for her walks. We love her so much and are so happy that she is a part of our lives. Thank you so much Life of Hope Foundation!!
