Sungchul

  • Age: 1Y (as of JAN, 2023)
  • Weight: 26lbs
  • Breed: Jindo mixed
  • Dogs: She is curious and likes other dogs and people very much. She doesn’t have any behavioral or traumatic traits and is good and easy going. She is positive and bright. She doesn’t care what others think and is affectionate. She also has taken care of little puppies.
  • Cats: There are 4 cats and 3 dogs in the foster. Sungcul doesn’t react to the cats indoor. She has barked very rarely when the cat got excited and jumped high suddenly, but it was very rare.
  • Kids: Very good with children of all age. The foster runs a guesthouse and she meets many guest including little children. Sungchul was very good with them, too.
  • Housebroken: Both indoor and outdoor potty trained. Sungchul still has the puppy chewing behavior and sometimes chews on boxes and other objects. Sometimes she chews the training pads. This can be easily trained and will happen less as she gets older. Sungchul takes two potty walks daily and she prefers to outside for potty.
  • Crate: Ok in kennel
  • Leash: Sungchul takes two walks daily, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon. She pulls the leash a little. When she goes out alone, she is more calm and pulls much less. When she comes out with other dogs, she gets more excited and pulls side to side. If that happens, the foster holds the leash tightly and short until she calms down. Then Sungchul takes walks more comfortably. The foster lives in the countryside and Sungchul has not experienced any city life, including huge crowd and many cars.

However, the foster doesn’t know if she has separation anxiety or not because she was hardly left alone at home. She was always with other dogs at the foster. She has a chasing behavior and gets focused on moving animals she meets during walks. She likes to sniff deeply when she finds something interesting.

+Childen: Very good with children of all age. The foster runs a guesthouse and she meets many guest including little children. Sungchul was very good with them, too.

+Cat: There are 4 cats and 3 dogs in the foster. Sungcul doesn’t react to the cats indoor. She has barked very rarely when the cat got excited and jumped high suddenly, but it was very rare.

+Car: She gets carsick. She threw up in the last car ride. She gets find right after throwing up and likes to look out of the window. The foster has tried not giving food to Sungchul before car rides but then she threw up just little still. *Carsickness goes away as the dog gets more ride experience.

+Potty training: Both indoor and outdoor potty trained. Sungchul still has the puppy chewing behavior and sometimes chews on boxes and other objects. Sometimes she chews the training pads. This can be easily trained and will happen less as she gets older. Sungchul takes two potty walks daily and she prefers to outside for potty.

+Home alone: She was barely left home alone. When other dogs take walks without her, she would whine and bark but not consistently.

+Guarding: No food/treat guarding

+Commands: Sit, stay, paw No health issue

+Others: Sungchul has the puppy chewing behavior and still chews on blankets, boxes and training pads. The foster was not able to give enough training for this because he has to go work, too. However, this can be trained over time.
