The Journey Home
Once your application is approved, the final step of Peace’s journey begins. Adopters are responsible for picking her up directly from a major international airport. Common arrival hubs include:

Adoptable: Peace. A 100 Score Girl with a Heart of Gold!
True to her name, Peace is the embodiment of tranquility and sweetness. While it is rare for FMDs (Formosan Mountain Dogs) to be on the smaller side, Peace is that perfect exception. We aren’t sure of her exact mix, but we are 100% certain that she is a dog of perfect size and even more perfect temperament.
Her Story: From Despair to Hope
Peace’s past was filled with hardship. We don’t know if she ever had a home, but it’s clear she survived on the streets for a long time. One day, she was found collapsed near a gas station, motionless, with breathing so shallow it was barely noticeable. A kind netizen posted her location on Facebook, hoping for a miracle.
A local rescuer rushed to the scene and learned from gas station employees that Peace had been hit by a car. Someone had moved her to a safer spot, but she had remained there, paralyzed by pain. Upon being rushed to the vet, she was diagnosed with a fractured left front leg. She underwent surgery and remained hospitalized for five days.
During her recovery, Peace won the hearts of every single staff member at the clinic. They couldn’t stop praising her, calling her the sweetest and most well-behaved girl they had ever met. Despite the pain of daily bandage changes and post-op care, Peace never once resisted. She simply laid there patiently, wagging her tail at everyone she saw, eager to give and receive love.
Since moving into her foster home, Peace has proven to be a dream companion. She gets along very well with other dogs and cats. She is respectful and friendly toward men, women, and children alike. She is 100% potty outdoor and has never had an accident indoors.
Health Note
Due to the poor diet she had while scavenging on the streets, Peace has a slightly sensitive stomach. While generally healthy, drastic weather changes can occasionally lead to soft stools or diarrhea for a few days. For this reason, her future family should expect some minor digestive upset during her initial transition from Taiwan to the US or Canada due to the climate change.
Regarding her injury: Her left front leg has a surgical pin. The vet has confirmed that it does not need to be removed and will not affect her quality of life. She runs and plays just like any other healthy dog!

Peace has survived a hit-and-run, a painful fracture, and hours of waiting alone for a death that never came. Now that she is healthy and vibrant, we are looking for a forever home that will cherish her. She is truly a “100-point girl,” and she is ready to light up the world of the lucky family who chooses her.
