Marcy and her 7 siblings (we called them 8M) were found in a redistrict (to be developed) area in Taichung. They were starved for food and a few concerned citizens found them wandering the street. They saw how dangerous the busy streets could be for these homeless puppies, so they called one of our rescue partners seeking help. The rescuer came right away and saw in addition to these puppies, there were 30+ stray dogs, ranging from puppies to adults. The rescuer had limited resources and could not take all of the strays, so she called on a few other friends who also have been rescuing dogs to help take these dogs off the street. We at Life of Hope, took the 7M siblings.
8M siblings quickly adapted to their new lives at the LHF member’s home. After a month, they went their separate ways to their new foster families so that they could start their journey looking for home. They all took a while to adjust since they went from a whole pack to just 1 in their new environment. These resilient pups are not fearful, it is quite common for rescue dogs to take time to adjust to new environments, as they often experience multiple changes before they find their forever home. They are all very sweet, love getting attention from people, and very gentle.
Marcy gets along very well with dogs. She don’t exhibit any food guarding behaviors, and don’t get into fights. She is also know how to use pee pads indoors (many live in apartments with their foster families), and know how to do their business outside. Marcy was a little nervous in the new environment at first, he also need some time to warm up with strangers, but she is not too timid doggie. Marcy is very food motivated and likes outdoor activities very much. Using treats and walking to build trust with her is the best way. Every time she enjoys going out for a walk, she will be closer to you! Marcy is very interesting. At first, she was very shy indoors, she didn’t snuggle, just stay in her crate, but when you pick up the leash, she will obviously look forward to it. She likes going out for a walk very much. At first, walking in a new environment is a bit nervous. But you can feel that she is happier and enjoy. After going out for a walk time to time, she will become very sweet with her family! She will not be afraid of strangers outdoors, she will even let strangers petted her. If you’re interested in adoption Marcy, please fill out our adoption application. Thank you!
