The Journey Home
Once your application is approved, the final step of Heedol’s journey begins. Adopters are responsible for picking him up directly from a major international airport. Common arrival hubs include:
East Coast & Central: JFK, IAH, etc,.
West Coast: SFO, SEA, LAX, YVR, etc,.

– Personality: He is cheerful, active, and becomes friends with strangers almost instantly. While he gets along well with other dogs, he tends to prefer people more. Even at dog parks, he is very laid-back and relaxed. He has a high energy level and is very food-motivated. He loves balls and enjoys playing fetch. Since he is still a puppy, he occasionally chews on blankets.
-Has he met children? Does he get along with them?: He gets along well with everyone, regardless of whether they are children or adults.
– Has he met cats? : He doesn’t show much interest in them, but he has never been left alone with a cat by himself.
– How is he when traveling in a car? (Motion sickness? Drooling or vomiting?) : He currently drools a bit. He always travels in a kennel when in the car. His condition is gradually improving.
– How is his potty training? (Pads, indoor, outdoor, success rate, etc.) : We are currently training him to go potty outdoors.
– Does he bark or whine when left alone? : There is a bit of whining at first, but he quickly gives up and settles down well.
– Is he sensitive or protective of any objects/food around people or other dogs? (e.g., growling when someone approaches his treats or toys) : He may show guarding behavior initially, but he stops and corrects himself when the foster parent says “No.” When given treats, he waits for his turn.
– Does he have experience with a leash and walking? How does he behave on a leash? (Pulling, etc.) : He does quite well. He needs a little time to adjust, but he isn’t frantic and does not pull on the leash. Foster Parent Information
