Gary and his 9 siblings were rescued about a week old (they hadn’t even opened their eyes!). Their mom was found dead next to them, and they were still suckling their mom’s milk when the rescuer found them. The rescuer was quite certain that neighbors in that area must have poisoned the mom and found a piece of meat laced with poison nearby. Even though it was a very heartbreaking scene, it is quite a common occurrence in Taiwan. The rescuer buried their mom and took the puppies with them. The rescuer wanted to make sure that they found good homes for these 10 little pups to right the wrong that people had done to their poor mom.
Both Gary and Gail are very outgoing, active and friendly. They both like to be around their people. They both like other dogs, and have been interested to play with cats. They both are gentle and have not exhibited signs of separation anxiety. The only thing is that they both are not a fan of the crate. They are good with bath, being blow dried post-bath, and ride well in cars. Because they are very food motivated, it makes training them relatively easy.
