On October 23rd, a rescuer found little Elly (then, 2-3 month old) and was already spayed with her ear clipped as a marking for the TNR (Trap, Neuter/Spay & Release).  The neighbors in that area disclosed that there were 5 brindle puppies that were dumped, and most were rescued by passerby.  Elly was the last puppy left.  Elly gets nervous and a bit shy when she’s in a new environment.  She’s observant and cautious, but she warms up quick and would seek out attention and affection from new people.  Every time, she would observe before deciding to get close to her new friend(s).  She shows her calming signal by sitting down if she’s feeling unsure or scared.
Elly gets along with all dogs and shows no aggression.  She’s very food motivated and has been crate trained (her foster family has been crate training her). She sleeps in the crate at night.  She knows how to use pee pads and will do her business on the lawn outside.  If you are interested in Elly, please connect with us! Elly is patiently waiting for her forever home.
