Dyre was taken in by a factory owner not long after he was born.  However, he was tied to a heavy chain to guard the factory 24/7.  This kind of sad life such as Dyre happens every day in Taiwan.  Some even were discarded like trash in rural areas after they grew old or sick.

Dyre has a very gentle yet curious personality, despite being tied down by the chain every day.  He loves to ask for pets every day from factory workers who walk past him.  He is extremely friendly.  One day, the rescuer passed by the factory and saw his owner was hitting him, and heard his cries.  According to factory workers, the owner often starved Dyre and hit him often.  Although Dyre experienced such cruel treatments in the hands of his owner, he still maintained his loyalty to his owner and wanted affection from him.  Some of the workers felt really bad for Dyre and wanted to help save him.

The rescuer tried to talk to the owner to treat Dyre better but the owner was rude and did not care.  Nothing had changed for a while, until one day, the owner approached the rescuer telling her to take Dyre because he was closing the factory.  He told the rescuer to either take Dyre or he would just leave Dyre chained in the close-down factory.  The rescuer did not hesitate and took Dyre, and his life finally changed for good.

Dyre was so happy when that heavy chain finally was taken off of him.  He ran circles around the rescuer showing her appreciation!  It must be the happiest day of his short life.  Dyre is very smart!  He immediately was comfortable with his new harness and leash.  He walked out of that factory with his head held high!  Then, he went to a park for the first time, and to a pet story!  These “first” experiences were very positive for him because he is brave and also curious! What an adorable boy!

Dyre is very friendly with people and loves to get pets from people.  He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys playing with them.  If sometimes dogs don’t want to play with him, then he would bark to invite them to play.  As we mentioned, Dyre is very smart and learns fast!  He is also very adaptable, and shows no fear to new people or places.  Quite an easy-going boy!

We truly look forward to finding Dyre a forever family who really loves him and treats him well. If you are interested in adopting him, please contact us!!
