Brown and Sugar were abandoned in the courtyard of a deserted mansion. They lived on leftovers given to them by workmen from nearby. When we found them, Sugar was paralyzed. Nearby workmen told us that, Sugar wasn’t always like that. One day, some migrant workers wanted to capture Sugar and eat her, so they used anesthesia gun to shoot her, but luckily the workmen stopped them. We immediately took Brown and Sugar to the hospital. Doctor told us that Sugar was only suffering from temporary paralysis due to nerve injury and will recover after a couple of weeks.
A week later , Sugar was able to stand up and walk slowly. After two weeks, Sugar was running and jumping around. When she had fully recovered, we were so happy that we cried!! The only minor problem is that when Sugar sits down, her left back leg would remain straight.
After recovery, Sugar became very happy and enjoys running in the park. Brown and Sugar never lost their trust in people and are extremely friendly towards people. They are energetic and get along very well with kids. We believe Brown and Sugar are very suitable for families who enjoy outdoor activities. Since they only pee and poop on grass, it would be a plus if their family had a back yard.
