Bok (means blessing in Korea)
Thank you for interested in adopting Bok. Please know that Bok is an international rescue through South Korea. When your application is approved, you will need to pick him up from the airport – such as SFO, SEA, JFK, LAX, ONT, IAH, etc. International adoption is not a complicated process and we‘ve done the process many years. We would be happy to explain to you how the process works.

Bok was tied outside with other dogs and his collar was so tight that it was cutting into his skin.
Bok is little bit startled when you approach him without any introduction, but he becomes very friendly when you show him some efforts to gain his trust. For example, he opens his mind right away when you give him some treats. Once he opens up, he just wants to be more playful with you. He is good with children, too, as he is friendly to all types of people.
Bok gets along with new dogs easily. He behaves well with cats, too. He is friendly when meeting other dogs and likes to sniff them and play with them. The foster home has cats in the house and Bok was not aware of the cats. He was not interested.
Bok jumps into the car well and doesn’t get carsick, too. He is completely outdoor potty trained and the foster lets him out to the backyard 3-5 times a day. He doesn’t bark when he’s alone. He barks when there’s noise coming from outside. The foster family observed how often Bok barked over a month and he barked three times.
He pulls the leash during walks. The foster is working on it but he still needs some training. Usually, he gets relaxed on leash after he goes potty during walk. Bok gets surprised by sudden noise and something new.
Bok is not easily recalled. He does not come right away when you call his name. The foster is working on it. It’s not like he is focused on playing. He is just not used to having names and being called. But he is quite familiar with living indoor with people. His favorite sleeping place is near the foster’s bed and he has favorite toys, too. He has no food-guarding behavior towards people or dogs!
Bok is still in South Korea. If you are interested in adopting Bok, please go through our international adoption process. Bok is ready for his forever sweet home. Apply here
