When your application is approved, you will need to pick him up from the airport – such as SFO, SEA, JFK, LAX, IAH, etc. International adoption is not a complicated process and we‘ve done the process many years. Koda is cheerful and energetic. He can be a bit competitive with dogs at a similar energy level but is gentle with older dogs. While he has built a strong bond with his foster, he can be wary of strangers. He should not be let off-leash as he avoids capture or close contact without it. He is generally cautious in new situations but shows resilience and adapts well over time.
Car Rides: Travels well in the car without issues.
Alone Time: May whine a little and bark at outside noises, but settles down.
Resource Guarding: Can be possessive of food, treats, and toys around other dogs.

Additional Notes:
– Very curious about everything.
– Has a strong food drive and may try to guard from other dogs, but corrects well when guided.
– Adapts quickly and shows strong affection once trust is built.
– Shows some “one-person dog” tendencies, bonding closely with the foster.
– Naturally energetic and active due to his young age, but he has good self-control.
– Koda could be sensitive at the vet. If he goes to the vet, he might need to wear a muzzle just in case.
