Grace is fostering in Anaheim, CA.
Grace is a very loving and sweet girl. She needs an active and stable family who would give her the attention and exercise she needs. With Grace, you will get a great hiking/walking buddy, who loves to follow you around, keep you company and give you lots of laughs. She is goofy and playful! Because Grace had been neglected and not given the proper attention, the new family needs to commit to some training and establish a routine for her to help her adjust to a new life. She gets attached easily and would make a great family pet. She gets along with other dogs, and since she loves attention and belly rubs so much, being the only dog in the house would make her super happy. Grace loves everyone, but a family with older children would be a better fit. She is very food motivated and makes training quite easy.
A young lady found her on an abandoned lot in an industrial area and Grace had been there for 3 weeks, rain or shine, did not leave. Probably worried about missing her owner if they returned (sadness!!!!) Thus young lady would go feed her almost everyday and eventually felt bad for Grace because she would just stay on that lot and would not even hide from rain. There were a lot of large trucks so she did not want to see Grace get run over, so took her home. She has 5 FMD mix already so couldn’t keep Grace. Grace went to stay at a pet hotel as foster for months and no one wanted to adopt her because 1)she’s not a puppy and 2) she’s a black dog. Grace is very playful but submissive. She was able to walk on leash even with kids. She needs a good walk everyday that she wasn’t getting at the pet hotel. Grace is friendly, sweet, cheerful and energetic, an ideal family for her will be good if people love outdoor activities or have a place with yard. If you are interested in adopting Grace, please fill out an application on our website. Grace is patiently waiting for her forever home.
