Apollo is a adorable 2 years old Formosan Mountain Dog adopted in 2021. Unfortunately, his current parents are no longer able to take care of him. Apollo is a huge bundle of love. He will come running and hop, play bow and howl in excitement when you come home. He loves to cuddle on the couch or next to you in bed. He loves to go on long walks, play fetch (sometimes he will bring the ball back, but he loves to chase it) and to play tug of war (his absolute favorite). He is a playful and needs exercise and attention, he will love every being of your body. He loves to be the center of attention and will give you all the love and kisses of you make him the center of your world.
He is also very friendly to strangers. Definitely opens up very quickly with women, can be a bit unsure and wary with men at times, just give him time to adjust and he’ll doing well.
He’s an active boy. Preferably home with a fenced backyard, or families that love the outdoor activities can take him on an adventure.
He does WELL around babies, you just have to watch him since he does love to lick the babies face.
He lunges, barks and growls with toddlers while on leash. He will want to play with them, but Apollo doesn’t know that he is sometimes too rude, however he has only encountered them on walks so the foster family arent entirely sure how he’d react when in a controlled environment. Off leash he has no experience with toddlers and older kids.
He loves all things steak and beef flavored, doesnt like chicken, peanut butter or any fruits. His favorite treats are greenies.
